Louis Vuitton has launched a new Monogram Métis since January this year. Métis, in Greek mythology was the child of Oceanus and Tethys and spouse of Zeus. The word Métis also meant wisdom and cunning which translates to Louis Vuitton’s noble and elegant design and heritage and functionality respectively.
Its timeless and transversal style lets you carry the bag in three way giving you the flexibility to fit it to any occasion. The Metis comes with a lighter supple leather with body-friendlier sahpes as well as the recognisable classic ‘S-lock’ buckle inspired by the heritage trunks.
From Louis Vuitton Website the description of this bag is “Wise, crafted and cunning. Métis in Monogram canvas delivers on its promises with an attitude. Emphasizing silhouetters, it combines the versatility required of a contemporary bag with the elegance of the House's heritage of savoir-faire. Its two removable straps enable it to be carried in the hand, on the arm, or over the shoulder.”
Monogram Métis Hobo measures 13 x 34 x 32 cm, available at Louis Vuitton Stores for 1170* euro (*price in Italy)
At first it seems that there are some negative reviews from critics of some handbag’s forums about the shape of it. Anyway, the more I see it the more I love it.
Especially Métis in empreinte leather that is going to be launched in March. Here is a spy photo that i found. It's coming out in 6 colors: Orient, Terre, Infini, Aurore, Aube and Celeste for the price of $2890.
